Wishing Well Wording

To start our new life off solid and strong,
here’s a suggestion, please don’t take it wrong.
Like many couples marrying today,
we’ve already collected most things along the way.
Finding us a gift would be too hard,
so simply slip a little something into a card.
We hope you don’t think we are too direct,
but 4 toasters and 5 kettles are too much to collect.
Once we’ve replaced the old with the new,
we can look back and say it was thanks to you!

We made a commitment some time ago,
that together through life we were destined to go.
To save you looking, shopping and buying,
here’s an idea we hope you like trying!
Come to our wedding, to wish us both well,
and if you like, donate to our wishing well.

To our dear family and friends,
Your love, laughter and company on our wedding day are the most special gifts we could ever hope to receive.
Should you still wish to follow tradition and honour us with a wedding gift, a contribution to our wishing well at the reception will be warmly received.

As love, family and friends is what the night is all about,
your presence is one we can't celebrate without.
But should you still believe that a gift is worth giving,
a small envelope for our future would be a delightful blessing.

A wishing well we thought would be great,
but only if you wish to participate.
A gift of money is placed in the well,
then make a special wish, but do not tell!
Please do not be offended by our request,
as our day is complete having you as a guest.

our home has been made with love and care.
Most things we need we've already got,
and in our home we can't fit a lot.
